How to Reference a Book using the Harvard Referencing Style.
When you are making reference to an author and his work in the text of your essay, report or other assignment, and you directly mention the author, this is followed by the date of the work in brackets (parentheses), and forms part of the sentence.

In order for readers to find the book easily from the reference, the following information must be included The name of the author is written with initials or given name before the surname; in a footnote, there is no need to reverse the order found on the title page of the book.
